When shopping for apparel and accessories for your pets, there are three important measurements that you will need to keep handy. They are body length, neck and breast girth. Measurements are in inch or centimetre.

• Body Length (or Back length)- This size is obtained simply by measuring along your pet's backbone from the base of where their collar rests to where their tail rests. Every designer product is different, so you may also need to take your pet's girth measurement into account and not rely solely on the top line measurement.
• Neck Size - Measure around your pet's neck with a tape measure. Obtain the exact size of their neck and then add just enough room that you think will be necessary for their comfort.
• Breast Girth (or Chest Girth) - Measure your pet's chest at their widest point, which is typically just behind their front legs.
